Improving Distro Reviews section
 

The distro reviews section could do with some improvement.

1. Some time ago I commented on the presence of dead distros on the main page: most (but not Linspire) are now designated as archived, but still cluttering up the front page.

2. The distinction of main page distros and others is a bit odd. The former includes the dead and the esoteric (e.g. LFS), yet excludes several popular or high quality distros (e.g. Mageia, Parsix). Would a straight A-Z list not be more appropriate?

3. Nowhere does it explain that you have to click on Other before using the search box (unless you want to search for what you can already see).

Thanks for the feedback. We have a pending update that should improve the general usability of the reviews section (including #3). I'll go through the list and remove any dead distributions from the main page as well as add any that have a sufficient number of entries ASAP.
