Icon for Salix users
 

I was wondering what it would take to get a distro identifier icon for Salix on LQ. The one that shows under a users name to identify the distro that a post was made from.

BTW thanks for LQ. You've done a great job!

Or - more generally - what is the policy concerning which distros get a special icon?

I expect that it will turn out to be the ones with their own forums.

AFAIK, the original icon set came with the addon. Jeremy had planned to get more icons for various distros but I'm not sure how far he's got with that.

We have added icons for a couple of the more popular distributions recently. While it's not possible to cover each and every distribution, we'll try ensure that we add icons for distro's as usage dictates.

I don't think we could get an icon for Salix because I don't think there's a way to tell it apart from Slackware.

Slackware by default can't be distinguished in LQ as there's no branding to the browsers. You have to manually add the word "Slackware" to your useragent. The same could be done for Salix.
