I want LQ to stop highlighting my threads when the new post is mine

When I look at my subscribed threads list, LQ makes a thread bold even if the new post is mine. I don't need to be notified of my own posts; it's pointless. Can I set the preferences to stop doing that?

I guess you could unsubscribe from your own thread but then you wouldn't know when someone replied. Is it really that big an issue?

We don't currently do a check to see if that last poster is you on that page. We'll keep this in mind as a future enhancement. Thanks for the feedback.

the bold highlighting is completely arbitrary and thus meaningless- for me, anyway. There doesn't seem to be any reason to a post being bold or unbold- whether I've read it or not.

doesn't matter too much anyway- I can usually remember what I have read.

In vBulletin, there are different ways to mark "unread" threads in the Admin panel. One of them is to use cookies so as to reduce load on the server. So if you clear your cookies often, you'll find threads marked "unread" even if you have read them. (based on a time limit of course).

Sorry if my post seems a bit unclear... I meant that it's a vBulletin setting. The other option in vB admin panel is to use the MySQL database to set unread threads for members which is more accurate, but this can consume a lot of space.
