I submitted an original article/editorial for LQ. What is the status?

Hi,

Yesterday I submitted an (my own) original article in Linux - News, Articles and Editorials. It has not appeared as yet. Has it been rejected or is it awaiting approval?

I sent a mail yesterday regarding the article, but it has not received a reply.

Did you get the article or was the article lost when submitting, because I suffered from a poor internet connection yesterday and I don't want to rule that out.

If you haven't got my article, please tell me, and I'll resubmit it.

Thanks and Regards.

All articles go thru an approval/review process. Moderators are the one's who review and give feedback. We are at times very busy people so sometimes its the next day, sometimes its a week before its approved or not.

Actually, he's not referring to the LinuxAnswers section (which the mods do review) but the news section. You submission is still pending - stay tuned.

I thought that seeing most of the threads in the News, Articles and Editorials section that only links to external articles were preferred. But according to the forum description, original content is accepted, so I wanted to make sure that our own articles are also accepted.

I also suffered from a very slow internet connection when I was submitting it (as a matter of fact, the connection is still down, I'm typing this from my dial-up connection).

Thanks for clarifying.

Just a question. Am I allowed to put my article up on my site?

Harishankar, you are indeed free to put the article up at your site.

Thank you. I shall probably be writing a few more editorials/articles on Linux/Open Source when I get the time and I'll submit them here.
