gregorian: This problem started roughly 48 hours ago for you, or it happened to you previously? You have or have not exactly followed the specific directions outlined in this thread?
After the code upgrade, I had 1 instance of having to login from scratch (entering name and password). After that, everything was fine for many days.
Suddenly today, it LOST me in the middle of a session. Then, it still lost me every time I logged out. Now I have cleared all cookies and everything seems to be working.

For the record, the "1 instance of having to login from scratch" was unfortunately expected behavior. LQ login Cookies are now more secure, but the process necessitated invalidating all previous cookies.

Indeed---the one instance did not faze me. As for today's incident, I'm just about recovered---they said my progress was excellent-----until I told them it was a computer issue....
FWIW, I use Google Chrome , which accepts all cookies by default and have never had this problem . Like most here, I consistently use LQ, and it's one of my favorite websites; in fact it's the first one I go to everyday. I don't use FF, so I couldn't tell you if I have had the problem there. It does sound like the problem may have to do with FF. I don't know...
Not much, but I hope this helps those who haven't solved the problem yet.
