I cannot get more than 9 people on my buddy list.

Hey all,

For some reason I cannot get more than 9 people on my buddy list. Everytime I add a 10th person it takes another one off. It doesn't always take the same person off either.

Any ideas? This is frustrating :D

Peace,
Whitehat

This should be fixed. Thanks for the heads up.

I can't beleive you are the only one out of 88 thousand with more than nine buddies!

You're just way to popular ;)

Is there any way to view other's buddy and/or ignore lists?

If not, is there a plan to implement this?

Well I doubt we would ever enable the ability to see another members ignore lists, that seems a little private to me in which shouldn't be shared out.

That also goes sort of for the buddies list. That would be like letting everyone in the world know your Online IM chat list and who you got on it. I don't think many members would want to let others read who they have on their lists.

Regards.

At first, that was what I thought. Alternatively however, it can be similar to Slashdot's Friend & Foe system... It's public, but it also serves other useful purposes like keeping us updated when a "Friend" updates their journal or something like that.

However, maybe some anonymous statistic regarding the Buddy and Ignore lists can be made public... eg. a simple notification in your user cp like:

7 LQ members have you in their buddies list while
1 LQ member have you in their ignore list.

You get the figure, and also the anonymity :)

Anyway, this is just a suggestion... because it would be nice to know how others think about you eventhough through anonymous statistics ;)

Thanks for the response tricky.

:D While I like this idea......it may not be good for some people. I have a feeling that some mods would get like notifications all the time like this:

71,000 LQ members have you in their buddies list while
0 LQ members have you in their ignore list.

....and then what about the other folks that are starting threads with topics such as *I'm mad because nobody likes me* because their notification looks like this:

3 LQ members have you in their buddies list while
2700 LQ members have you in their ignore list.

ROFL. :D It would kind of be fun....and kind of not :)

Peace,
Whitehat
