I can't respond to my post on the forum

I can't respond to my post on the Newbie forum.

One person kindly responded to my post, and I wanted to respond but I do not have privileges yet?
I have to wait a day/week? before I can respond to responses on my post?

FYI one of the four CD business cards is good, and runs DSL 4:11 . The live CD ran on a Dell PC desktop of some kind.

Based on your question it was not clear if it was related to Linux. Seems it may be. Either situation, are there any further problems with responding to that thread?

Why do you say that - are you getting a specific error message?

I've not noticed any indication of this sort of limitation before, and I don't see anything in the LQ Rules or Site FAQ to suggest it is the case.

If there is such a limit it's either a bug in the software, or something that should be documented in the FAQ.

I can confirm there is no limitation of this nature.
