Hello k_oudom,

In order to use the Private Messaging system you must be a contributing member. You can read all about it on the LQ FAQ.

Kind regards,

Eric

You don't need to pay, only if you feel like you need the Private Messaging option, then when you payed you'll have access to it. You could also use the email option to contact a user instead of the PM option.

Kind regards,

Eric

Yes I'm a contributing user, yes I love LQ because I can find the answer to all my questions here. But the main reason why I contributed is because I know how much it costs to keep something this big up and running. So if my two cents can help keep LQ rolling like it is, then I'll keep putting in those two cents.

The Private Messaging system however is something that I haven't used yet.

Kind regards,

Eric

Note that private messaging is also enabled once you hit the "Senior Member" usergroup.

The "Senior Member" *usergroup* is currently set at 150 posts. The custom usertitle of the same name is at 1,000 posts. An unfortunate naming similarity.

My apologies, k_oudom- I forgot about the Senior Member user group.

Perhaps I should refrain from posting after Midnight (or 15 beers).

Cheers
