How to get active forum content to refresh automatically
When replying to threads here or any other forum the content doesn't update until I refresh manually. I would like to know if the content of forum can be updated similar to chat.
You mentioning replying to threads makes me wonder if I understand correctly, but the only section that is auto-refreshed is the LQ Spy section. The page is (should be) refreshed (once) after you reply to a thread.
Some browsers have a auto-refresh setting (not sure about firefox), maybe that could be useful in your case.
@colucix how does it affect "post reply" or "post quick reply"?
Mine was a reply to druuna's post. A feature maybe related to your issue in your profile options is Message Editor Interface. What is the current value? Also check if your browser is enabled to accept cookies from linuxquestions.org.
In any case, this thread is more suitable in LQ Suggestions & Feedback, so that Jeremy can address the issue. Hence, moved.
