How to find your post

How do you locate a certain post? There must be an alternative to just looking. You don't even know what page it's on.

Thanks,

royeo

go to the advanced search page and do a search using your username in the username field. leave the key word field blank, or use a key word to narrow it down. it should be pretty easy to find the post, especially if it's recent.

>> there's also a "My Posts" link in the My LQ navigation box on the right. -->

This thread should really be in the Website Suggestions & Feedback forum, since it has nothing at all to do with Linux.

Anyway, you can find all your posts or threads quite easily. If you click on your username in a thread, you'll see a drop down box with "View Public Profile" as one of the options. Click that and on your profile, you'll see links that will display all your posts or threads. If you click your username under "Currently active users", you'll be taken directly to your profile. The other way is to click the "My LQ" link on the top right of every page and in the control panel, you'll see links to find all your posts or threads.

Nylex, just as as FYI you can shortcut this by clicking a username and then "Find more posts by" in any post.
