How to close a thread.

Please assist me in closing a thread in the forum Linux networking. I have posted in that thread saying that the thread w'd be closed but I find no link for the same.

you don't close threads. once you're finished with it, mark it as SOLVED (presuming it is) and enjoy the rest of your life

but it isn't solved, I am simply wishing to start a new one for clarity to viewers.

If it's about the exact same topic, you can either edit the first post to include more information or add the information in a new post.
