how often to the searches generate?
 
I noticed, after I had searched for my name, that some of my threads that I had recently posted, weren't showing up. I then noticed

this. How often are the searches generated? What is the purpose of delaying when searches are generated?

Searches are cached up to an hour for performance reasons (although many searches, such as getnew, follow different rules).
