How many posts to become a LQ Addict / Guru
Just wondering how many posts do I need to make to become LQ Addict status / Guru status? Don't worry I won't get a macro :-)
|
It's in the FAQ:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...&page=1#newbie PS: If you sign all the mods up for a "Beer of the Month" club, we'll see what we can do about knocking it down to 750 or something. PPS: Not really. |
And how many posts does it take to become a mod? :-)
|
Ahh, that actually takes signing Jeremy up for Beer of the Month club ;)

He wasn't so fond of the "Roasted Parsimmon of the Month Club" I signed him up for :(
:D |
I found that the most effective way to become a mod is to first place some money in a brown envelope in a locker in a railway station near Jeremy. Then leave certain coded messages.
Once Jeremy is happy that the coast is clear, he collects the money and you become a mod. Worked for me :) |
How does one become a mod you ask?
Dedication to the forums. Helping others with Linux. And Jeremy's picking of you. Well, now with a large group of mods, he asks our opinions when a mod position comes available or is needed. In most cases now, he picks who we as in the current mods feel would be a suitable moderator. So be nice to the mods, help out by answering questions, report posts that break the rules and so on. And don't have 95% of your posts in General and you to may become a moderator here.. ;) But it will always be Jeremy's call who becomes mod in the end. :D |
