Once in a while I get an e-mail from an ancient thread I subscribed to long long ago. How can I unsubscribe from these ? Or at least stop them from sending me e-mail ?
Click on MyLQ and next on the link at the bottom of your subscribed threads box, View all Subscribed Threads. Next go to the thread you want to change and select the tick box at the far most right column. Then scroll down to the bottom of the list and select from the pull down menu that indicated Move to folder... what you want to do with the selected thread. As a last step you click Go and you're done.
I was hoping for a mass method, like before a certain date ... cuz otherwise it would be like 30 pages or more. Or, how can I select all threads with notification and change them to none ?

You can tick the checkbox at the top of the column to select all threads on that page. So if you have the count set to 50 per page you can perform that action on 50 threads at once. I think 50 is the maximum you can set per page. I make it a habit to cleanup my subscriptions from time to time and never keep them more then 2 weeks.
usually the culprit is zombie threads- ie those brought back after years of inactivity- usually your subscriptions to 'dead' threads shouldn't cause problems.
