How do I post a question?

After I´ve typed in this box my only options are to submit a new thread or preview post.
I just want to ask a question as a Linux newbie...why is it necessary to make things complicated???
When Ive gone to gone to preview post I get the same options....do I want to start a new thread?
If I select that my question disappears into the ether....
Iĺl try again but this is the last time.
Here goes...submit new thread

You just have posted a question, and in answer to it: you do exactly what you've just done to post a new thread.

What was your original question?

An existing question you had asked was held for moderation. It has now been approved.

well, you seem to have managed it.

preview post lets you proof read before posting for real.
Which is handy if you used fancy formatting.

the option remaining starts the thread.
