Hover text

First of all, I may be the only one who likes to add initially invisible text to arbitrary portions of web-content. In this case, just keep my suggestion in mind. Maybe it works...

I imagine that I could add hover text (css-attribute “title”) to portions of my posts. Be they pertinently marked or not this way, I could avoid cluttering my already too verbose output with additional transliteration (see <--- there's “litter” in it). <-- See? That is what I mean.

Not being able to keep a verbal conversation on this level going for long enough to make myself clear in plain English, my forum-posts suffer from a continuous attempt to be as comprehensive as possible while I am aware of my lack of fluency.

Think of the hover-text as a kind of “anti-spoiler” or see XKCD.org for yet another way of using it.

Shoot at will

i do not know of any CSS pproperty called title.

i think you mean <abbr title="Hey, I added something here">inline html</abbr>?

i think there used to be a way to make LQ parse posts written in HTML by disabling ALL javascript, but i cannot reproduce it now.
in any case, look at what LQ's BBcode has to offer.

Typo. Make that HTML-attribute.

Yes. For short text it is better than a full blown JavaScript popup-window.

No hover-text, so far. I have no opinion on supporting html as an alternative to BBcode but it would open more possibilities.
