HCL entry not on list

I looked in the HCL list for the entry I made and its not there. It shows up on the right that I made a new entry in other but it doesn't show up on the other list. Is this because it needs to be approved? Or I am just missing it somehow. I made an entry for the Westell 2200 dsl modem that comes standard with the Verizon DSL package in my area. That way if somoene was new to linux and getting Verizon DSL, had it or thinking about getting it then the info was there.

http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/sh...hp?product=451 - this one? BTW, questions about the website belong in the Website Questions and Suggestions forum. I have asked for this to be moved.

webwolf70 07-01-2004 06:51 AM

Sorry about entering it in the wrong place, please do move it. I am half asleep and in the middle of moving. I am just glad I can still type, lol. And no, thats not the entry.

Well, you are down as the last person to make an entry and when I click on the arrow next to your name, it goes to that entry. The Westell 2200 with the Verizon DSL package. Are you sure that's not yours?

webwolf70 07-01-2004 07:30 AM

No. The link you posted above takes me to the other westell one. That one says:

"Description: It says its a router but I can only use it as a dsl modem thus far.anyway it works with no drivers in debian..i have pump installed and a 3 comm ethernet card..pppoeconf worked just fine and i was right on the net
Keywords: b90-220030-04 "

When I click on the last entry, which is mine, this is what I wrote:

"Description: Westell 2200 comes with the Verizon DSL package. You can also buy them seperate. Every distro I used picks it up with no problem at all. It has a small reset button on the back and its own built in webpage to access the administrative needs with password protection and so on. It has both ethernet and usb connections and runs good. I have had it on for weeks at a time with no problem.
Keywords: dsl verizon broadband high speed "

Ok, I see whats up. When you posted the first link that was to the westell router that was being used as a modem. the link to mine is: http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/sh...p?product=1367

That is there, but it is not on the list itself. Just the new entry area.

Did you post that entry or did you post a review/reply to that entry? You only get credit for the first entry. So, if the posting that that link points to is yours, you get the review credit +1 - all the subsequent posts will not.

I am pretty sure I did a review. I looked in some other posts and I don't see anything there. I will look again. It shows up on the left under HCL Entries and as far as I know that only happens when you do a review, not reply to one.

And honestly, since I am moving, if the only thing I misplace is one entry then I am happy, LOL.

Ok, thanks. That was what I was wondering. I didn't know if entries like that needed to be approved, I am glad they do. Keeps it clean.
