Forum Page Loading delay

I'm pretty well sick of the 5 second plus delay waiting for the google adds to load.
I never look at them anyhow!

I just click on a post and then try to read the first or last post while the browser keeps taking me backwards until it finally loads then I can scroll to the post I want to read .

The shamozzle takes 5 seconds at least to stabilize each page I get and I am on 256 Megs down/64 Up Satellite. Then I can scroll the page

Can't you keep the adds for the forum front page and drop them in the post page??

I don't get this delay and I haven't seen any reports over the last few months. You could report this on the bug tracker and see if there's a resolution.

Are you talking about the banner ads? If so, have a look at whether you want to become a contributing member - the banner ads can be turned off that way...
Code:

Member benefits:
    * Contributing Member will be added to your user title
    * You will have the ability to turn the banner ads on and off
    * Private messaging will be enabled
    * Ability to upload a Desktop Image
    * Ability to use the LinuxQuestions.org Google search
    * Special Contributing Member only updates and early access to new features
    * Most importantly you will know that you have helped what I hope you consider a great cause

The Google ads should *never* take 5 seconds to load. That being said, gilead has pointed out what's probably the easiest way to get rid of them.
