Forum ID number

On what basis were the forums assigned their id numbers. Just curious. Initially before the rearranging of forums, I usedto think that it is on the basis of where the forums appear on the list, the number in sequential order down the list.

But, I thought that I might as well ask Because I feel that WQnS should be number 1 and not 7 as it is, for quite some time now.

I am sure that there is something you guys know that I don't

It will be the order they were created in.

Making WSQS number 1 would mean cahnging ID numbers for all Linux-General threads and WsQS threads not to mention all the offsite links that point to these locations.

I think the effort is far more than the benefits would be worth.

I agree. You are right, all threads would have to be changed, making this a very complex task.

Not worth the trouble at all, I agree.

Thanks.
