Display the current forum's questions in frame

Hi Jeremy,

When I browse the forums I find myself constantly using the "Back button" on my browser. How about using frames (or tables) to show the current forum's list of questions on the left side of the forum topic display? That will help me to switch between questions quickly.

btw. great site keep up the good work.

Frames? Ewww.. those are the worst.

I use multiple tabs if your using Mozilla or Firefox. Either set it up to automatically open links in new tabs or just right click > open in new tab..

But with the forums already crammed tight, I don't see how it would work out have the questions off the to the left or right side.

Well no need for frames. But tables can do the job just as well.

I'm using a poor old 56kbps Dial-up connection and I cannot afford to open too many Navigator windows. Slows down the entire connection.

Having the option to turn it off in the User CP should get rid of that annoyance for those who don't need it. I just thought that it should be a feature.

56k shouldn't matter. If the same content is loading to the left or right of a page with all the content now, I don't see it making a difference opening a new window.. most of the images are cached and if you opened up new threads in a new window.. when your done.. just simply close them..

Anyway, it's just a convenience thing. I just mentioned it because I find websites where I can browse topics on the left side while reading content on the right as a great convenience rather than clicking "Home" and going back two pages back to access another link.

Laying this out properly would also be a big problem. I think browser tabs really are the correct solution for this one.

Being on a 56k, I'll second that. If you think about it, you will actually end up transferring less data.
