Date format

Would it be very hard to be able to set the date format?
Right now it's set to month-day-year, I am used to the format day-month-year which is mainly used in the country I live in. But I prefer the format year-month-day. Anyways it's just confusing when I see a date 12-10-2002. Have to always look twice whether that's 10th of december or 12th of oktober.

Well it's not a big problem but it would be nice.
The today and yesterday is a nicely added feature which does make recent dates a lot easier to read.

Mik,
I like this idea. As soon as I get a chance I'll implement it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Very good idea. Works well for me. BTW Why are all the dates we can choose from June 16th and one June 25th?

jeremy 12-14-2002 03:20 PM

The June 25th was a typo and has been corrected. Thanks.

Well, it looked interesting... :)

That looks a lot better, thanks a lot. The extra option of setting the time format is nice too. The only one I couldn't find in the date format was year-month-day but I can live without it.

YYYY-MM-DD is the International Standards Organization (ISO) standard for representing dates, and the one I'd prefer too.

If anyone's interested in a little reading:

In fact, I'd like to see this as linuxquestions.org's default date format since the audience is very much an international one in my experience.

I'll look into adding this in a future release of the forum software. It is what we are using for newer projects, such as http://iso.linuxquestions.org
