Can a thread starter close the thread?

I was just wondering, can a person who starts a thread close it when (s)he has found an answer to h(er)is query?

i would say you would have to be a moderator to do such a thing, but then again i could be wrong :D

oh also i should point out, that you should post how you did do whatever you did, just in case someone else has the same problem in the future and they'll have some more info to base there troubleshooting on...

Only a moderator and or the site admin can close threads. We tend not to close threads after resolution as others might be able to contribute or give more information regarding the subject even after an actual resolution to the first question/problem.

Regards.
