Can't post answers to questions
 

Why is it that one can not post an answer to ones question until one has asked 3 questions first?

I attempted to post an answer to a question in the server area and a message was displaied that I could not reply to the message until I pposted 3 messages. What gives here? Maybe I don't have a question or questions to ask. Seems rather silly that I have to ask for anything before I can post help for someone else.

it's just a spam prevention method, i'm sure once you have passed this limit you'll have no problem helping everyont and loving ievery minute of it. it's not a fantastic way to resolve the situation but it does fool a lot of bots.

You have encountered our spam protection. If you really really really need to post a URL, you have 2 options:
the first is to make 3 useful and helpful posts without URLs - this proves your good intentions and you are allowed to post a URL
the second is to try wwwDOTexampleDOTcom

Just for clarification, the error message has nothing to do with answering questions versus asking questions. It only has to do with not being able to post a URL until you have three posts.
