My apologies - after the final test on this post, I have noticed that the EDIT button does work, just is very slow.
***********************
I have just noticed this situation...
After I create a thread, or post a reply to an existing thread then try to EDIT the post, the SAVE button does not work... I must click GO ADVANCED and then submit/save from there.
Using Firefox 2.0.0.5 on SUSE 10.2 kernel 2.6.18.8-0.5-default.
Am about to try using Konqueror on the same system to edit this post....
....Using Konqueror to edit this post - the EDIT button on the original post directs me straight to the advanced edit page. After finishing my comments here, I will click SAVE CHANGES.
NOTE: Using firefox, the effect only occurs if I actually change the text of the post - simply clicking SAVE without changing the contents of the text box seems to direct the browser immediately back to the original post page.
NOTE: I'm using Firefox again to edit this post, and confirmed all stated above is correct.

Sorry, I guess my final comment should have been "...using firefox again to confirm all above stated is correct".
Please disregard the whole post.
The only issue really is that it takes a long time for the post to update after clicking the SAVE button - funnily though, it doesn't seem to take as long to update when using the advanced edit page.
I was just impatient, and the browser gave no indication that there was any activity going on - once again the SAVE button does indeed work, just it is ery slow to save and refresh/re-direct the page/frame.

My apologies once again,
Steve.
It's quite O.K., was just a little confused because this seems to be only happening to you..
