auto subscribe

in other forums ive registered to and visited on a very regular basis, there was an option in the settings that i do not see here and i was wonderig if it was available. it automatically subscribed you to every thread that you posted within so that you could easily keep track of where youve been and what advice youve given, is there any way to make it so any thread i post in, i automatically get a subscription to? that way i dont have to manually do it for every thread i post in. thanks!

The auto subscribe option is present in the User CP options page.

Option Use 'Email Notification' by default? [x]

In the user cp, there is a section at the bottom of the page which shows all your subscribed threads. To subscribe to a thread, you either post in that thread or click the "subscribe to this thread" link.

So you're saying that every time you visit a thread, you want to be subscribed to it? That's a lot of subscriptions. Why would you want that?

because i want to keep track of my entire history at this site, as well as, say i reply to someones thread and help them, then a month later they post back into the same thread again for another question directly related to their last or whatever, i wanna see it brought to the front of my subscriptions list in the User CP.

yep its alot, ive used forums like that until i had 40 or 50 pages full of subscriptions. just thousands of them, i found it more useful than anything.

Well, there are currently 255,634 posts, feel free to subscribe to each one I, for one, would find that extremely annoying and unwieldy.

What you are asking for is a

"Favourite topics" feature which is like keeping a bunch of bookmarks without using e-mail notification.

I suggest that if you want that, use your browser bookmarks to hold that page

Unless I am misunderstanding you, you can do what you want here. Set the email notifications by default to yes, but set allow LQ to email you to NO. This will subscribe you to every thread you post in, but not send you emails about it.
