Any advantages to being a paid member?
I have been a paying member of LQ for a few years. My renewal is coming up. Is there still any advantages or recognition for being a paid member? I remember when I first became a paid member, there was a lot of push to get people to become paid members with advantages like sending and receiving private messages, as well as getting a nice "PAID MEMBER" title when posting on the forum. I don't see any of that anymore. Besides generously donating to LQ, is there anything else I am missing with becoming a paid member of LQ?

You can see the benefits here: http://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/member.html
NOTE: You're not actually showing up as a Contributing Member at this time. If you feel that's in error, please contact me offline. Thanks. --jeremy |
Basically you get a little tag and you are helping linuxquestions grow.
@jeremy That needs to be updated as private messages are available to anyone with 20+? posts. |
No update is needed as becoming a Contributing Member still instantly enables PM's. Becoming a Senior Member does as well, but that's unrelated and is currently set to 150 posts (and subject to change).
