Ancient "Are you running an unsupported version of Linux?" sticky

Hi all,

At least here: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-linux-524951/ and on a few other distro-specific fora is this 10 year old sticky about using EOL Linux.

While the dangers of using EOL Linux are just as great, I think this post, with its mention of regular Ubuntu releases getting 18 months of support, broken links, and mentioning of Mandriva, is probably severely out of date and maybe misguiding to a complete newbie.

Could a sticky like that be updated? Have been wondering after a few years

How amusingly ironic: an unsupported sticky about unsupported distros. I'd agree, and assume the forum moderator can de-stickify that necrosticky.
