a request that LQ review the status of the LQ puppy support sub-forum

in the spirit of LQ policy in regards to supporting a sub -forum
Quote:

From LQ's very beginnings it has been a policy that we will only create a sub-forum for a particular distro if that distro maker will participate in it.
i ask for a review and decision with an updated status

Since you and your friend are behind the vendetta against Puppy and any other forums this move has been expected.

I'd also like to note that at www.puppylinux.com ,under forums, LQ is still prominently listed.

RE: JohnMurga Forum Ban @ LQ

I’m pleased to have been instrumental in bringing about this improvement at LQ.
Progress, compliments of Puppyite.

A friendly reminder to all Puppy users at LQ (amended 2011/12/03)
@all: Please remember that you all are guests in this place. Puppy has its space here and as such incessant talk of other fora, and the type of bickering that seems to go on in particularly this sub-forum, seems quite disrespectful towards the person that granted you this space and doesn't help maintain a friendly atmosphere around here.

So please feel free to discuss any purely technical matters concerning installing, configuring and using Puppy but do post in a respectful, constructive and helpful way or else keep yourself from posting.

jonyo, please let this serve as your only warning that your continual posting of links and discussions pertaining to other Puppy sites is not acceptable here at LQ. If this behavior continues, your posting privileges here at LQ will be revoked. If you have any questions, feel free to contact myself or a forum mod.

Could someone please explain the Puppy forum drama that keeps spilling over to LQ?

Difficult ...

There is one member named puppyite that actually is agitating as you could probably see here :

Puppy Linux Forum / Help Documents / Main Mission Statement and Rules (rev4 - 12/4/2011)
http://www.puppylinuxforum.org/misc....ion=help&hid=8

ONE point there reads as this :
Quote:

Reform Puppy Linux by ridding it of John Murga Forum.
*

This thread now was started in the Puppy section of LQ , and though the OP seems to be interested in technical questions (s)he seems to try to do some 4-14 years old bored child kidding (again) .

I was wondering who linked this unnecessary thread here .

I really had thought the warnings against puppyite and the OP had calmed down everything .

I would not call it a drama , but slightly disgusting "sprayers vandalism/romanism" .

Oh, I see. Some people weren't happy about how one forum was managed, so they started another forum. Makes perfect sense now.

jonyo,

You've been asked nicely to stop behavior like this multiple times now. I'm going to revoke your posting privileges for three days. Another transgression will result in a significantly longer ban. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me directly.
