Wine can run Fritz II (chess)
I didn't think it would work, but using Wine, Linux runs my old copy of Fritz Grandmaster Challenge II, a chess program. Not perfectly, though. Don't try switching to 3D mode: when I did, the program went blank for a few seconds, and then X restarted. Not much of a loss, though--I don't really care about the graphics. This is all the more impressive considering that the program would not work in Windows (I forget which version, but probably XP) without crashing after a few minutes.

I still like Rebel Decade 3.0 ... |
