Way cool auto-updating linux


WOW.

My Debian etch box (amd64) running xfce just told me in a little gui that it had found important software updates for me. It then downloaded and installed them!!!! It worked!! Yipppeeee!!

It's a long way from Slackware but we're certaintly not in Kansas anymore toto. :-)

Nothing out of Redmond ever made me this happy, not even that first DOS prompt back when I was young and hard drives were measured in MB.

WELL DONE to everyone that has ever contributed anything to linux & open source to get it this far.
