Vaio CS110E Internal Mic - openSUSE 11.2

After much research, the internal microphone on my Sony Vaio CS110E is now working.

I use openSUSE 11.2. Right out of the box, everything worked but that. Webcam, WiFi, DVD burner, FN keys for volume/mute, and screen brightness...but not the internal mic.

To get it working:
  • - Go into YAST
    - Click on the "Sound" icon
    - Click the "Edit" button, to edit your current config.
    - Set the model of your sound card to be model=toshiba-s06

Save, exit, and reboot. Under your mixer, the 'real' microphone device will now show up. Even though it's using an Intel audio card, setting this as the model will make it work. Tested headphone jacks, muting, volume, speakers..all working. Playing audio CD's still works, but have not tested the line-in jack (I've no need for it).
