MX700 On Linux

Well, the easiest way to get that morphed self-charging and FAST Logitech rodent to work, is to load Mandrake 9.0 or 9.1 if out by the time you read this, and tell it you have a USB Wheel Mouse. If something already loaded, try the USB Wheel Mouse driver that has. My box wakes up when I lower the mouse back onto its pad after taking it out of the charger\receiver, and about once a week or so I get to tell the cradle and mouse to connect after charging cuz I leave it out of the charger too long(typically overnight). Thus endeth my 6 month battle with a Microsoft rodent, which now is used to install XP on boxes people buy from me.

If you want a decent 40 GB hard drive, might look at NewEgg's price for a WD 400BB HD. When I was last there they had free shipping and $71.00 price tag. Outpost has the best trays for HDs, if you have a KWin KF-20 or KF-21 kit. About $8.50 shipped in decent amounts for the trays. they have a kit with tray and carrier for about $23.00 shipped. Just a nice set of things for those who want a variable multibox. I have a box that most distros do not run the RAID right on, so three HDs, one burner, and two of the HDs sit in trays in carriers in bays. The trayed ones floppy boot. Nice for messing about with test stuff, or MP3 collections, or graphics\movie collections, backups, etc.
