make install on Debian
Hi~
I'm tring to recompile some sources on Debian(i386).
I want to obtain bootable diskett finally.
but I have a problem on first setp!
It's bellow I have to do during first setp.
cp *.c *.h ....../busybox
make install PREFIX=.....
I know that busybox is collection of sources to be compiled,
and make install is install some sources to target path(I wanted)
using 'PREFIX'.
but I want to know about make and make install in detail.
next,
When I've entered 'make install PREFIX=...'
the error masseges are
'A.o : in function function_name(functions are included other .c file or A.c)
: undefined reference to some_name(I guess this is veriables)'
and this pattern are appear full page,
each line is difference in funcion_name or some_name.
A.c file includes related other files.
this file includes 7 files. but object file(*.o) is only A.o.
So I think others not be compiled. so I've compiled all files by 'gcc -c filename.c' manually.
and then retry make install, but I have same error messages.
do you know this problem?
