Linux, Afghanistan, RTFM, and giving back

All,

I just wanted to share my experiences over the past few months that I have used Linux. First of all, let me preface this message by stating that I am a soldier deployed in Afghanistan. Back in June 2004, when I came home for some RR, I grabbed a copy of SuSE from my local electronics store and Dual Booted (XP) my Averatec 5110HX notebook. Well SuSE certainly did a good job of setting things up for me, however in the 5 months that I used it, I never really learned anything. So I had my wife order me a few distro's back in November. Long story short, I have been a Slacker ever since. Now as you can imagine, my internet access was a come and go thing, so I RTFM (HOW-TO, Mini-HOWto's etc.) and with the help of the LQ community I have completely transitioned over to a Linux only user. Now it's time that I start to give back to the community that has been generous in helping me. I plan to write an HCL entry when I get home, but can anyone else recommend sites or places where I can contribute back to the Linux community (obviously LQ)?

Thank You for your time,
Bruce
