this may not seem to be a complicated success story but nevertheless, i want to share my experience on how to pull up a server. i'd been wracking my brain out for 3 straight days just to display the test.php on my browser but to no avail. so i to reformat the server and redo LAMP from scratch. and voila! i managed to pull it up with a help from a few guys in the LINUXNEWBIE forum..shoutouts go to hallamigo, adm1329 and all the other guys who encountered this problem before in the forum.

I just did the same with Slackware. MySQL was the trouble for me, reformat and tried again too, but I got it figured out with help from the members of slackcare.com
