This is My FIRST online post using linux(SuSe 10(64BIT)DVD Eval Version) 3 solid days of trying to work out what is wrong I solved the problem!!! YEY So here I Am 1 Step Closer to Waving Goodbye to WINXP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whilst I may not have posted may questions that wonderful SEARCH facility on this forum has served me well so thanks guys for you posts/info/help.

Excellent work. The internet was quite a burden for me to get working too, but at least I ended up being able to connect after 3 (4?) days of trying.

serial modem + kppp did it for me in 5 minutes ... but if you count the time it took me to decide to buy the modem :(

cool. I had to buy a new wireless router to get wireless working in debian.... Linksys had issues with any type of encryption. it was wierd, then it kept loosing settings and connection.We took it back to circuit city. it was the WRT54G.

I would get the netgear wgr614. it's been good to me so far this week. I hope it lasts me a long time.
