Hi again Manhinli,

I see Knoppix is only really intended as a live cd. In this case, do you have to enter all the commands etc (the ones you gave in your last post) each time you start your pc and your knoppix cd and want to get online?

Hi Uxq,

Well, unfortunately, yes, even if you use that 'Save KNOPPIX configuration' program. You will need to type out the whole thing in the console, unless if KNOPPIX is installed.

But, I'm working on a script which can be run from a floppy and will install all of the drivers in less than 2 mins.

I had the exact same thought, which led me to script the whole process.

I'll announce it on this page when I complete it. I've got most of it done already anyway.

I hope my idea works...

Hi,

I finished the script only to realize I had made a mistake (although it can still work, but it doesn't follow the guidelines).

I lost my first script in an accidental floppy format (doh!) and the others that I tried just wouldn't budge...

The floppy script will definitely be released TOMORROW by 5:00pm NZST.

In the mean time, I'll just try to make scripts for other distros.
