how to enable Pidgin (as Yahoo) to send files
 

Using Pidgin for Yahoo Messenger, I had never been able to send files to anyone, only to receive them. I thought it might be that the Yahoo file transfer server settings were wrong, and in http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...pidgin-801235/ , Kbp suggested I make the settings blank to "send direct." So I deleted the information in the pager server, pager port , file transfer server, and file transfer port boxes. I am now able to send files.

(If the Yahoo server information is simply out of date, the Pidgin maintainers might fix it later--they've had to fix this kind of problem before for Pidgin and Kopete to connect to Yahoo at all--but if you can enable sending files yourself by removing the settings, who cares?)

I tried it... and it doesn't work for me. Further more... if I set it like that and I restart pidgin, it will set itself another pager server and port which works like the previous one but the transfer still doesn't work.
Please tell me what pidgin do you have (version) which Linux distro and what are the account settings.
My Pidgin is 2.6.6
I tried deleting only the file transfer server an it's port and it will put 0 for port and nothing for transfer server but still doesn't work.
Please help.

it's working now but not with the drag and drop method...
