First successful install of program not on install CDs.

The program is dosbox 0.60 in RPM binary format and it installed and worked without a hitch. Plus, I can find out exactly what was installed and where it was installed. Just another confirmation that there are programs out there for linux that work right out of the download and their installation is completely reversible, without harming your system. Finally, the best part is that dosbox will run the old MSDOS vga games (such as blockout) that I have that Win4Lin won't.

Now, the next problem to solve is to figure out how to take a non-RPM package and turn it into an RPM. But, that is a story for another thread.

Use checkinstall. The procedure is:
./configure
make
checkinstall
