At last - PEOPLE LISTEN!!!

After a mistimed attempt at converting one of our office PCs to Linux about 18 months ago (all my fault - I was too ambitious) I have finally got the go ahead to Linux-ize lots of desktops.

I've just bought two powerful(ish) office desktops to be used by up to 20 users. SuSE 8.0 is on them and - day one now over - all is well. I am so f*%kin$ happy!!! At last. MY SOLUTION! I've also sneaked it onto a "internet cafe" type PC (I work for an adult eductation centre)

Over the summer, I hope to put SuSE 8.0 / 8.2 on 11 more PCs and setup a MySQL server to host our company database. WOW! SuSE 8.2 is on my work notebook. NO WINDOWS!!

My bosses are finally waking up to the benefits of open source. Goodness...lots of questions coming. I feel so ill-equipped. YIPEE!!

Ill-equipped with Linux is definitely better than well-equipped with Windows. Congrats!
