Wow, I so happy. I have finally managed to install LFS 5.0 .
I did it once before but after two weeks of work my hard drive crashed. I just coulden't mount the root partition any more. It turned out that it was an hardware malfunction. The harddrive was usable once more when I partitioned out the bad sectors. But I had to reinstall linux. After the crash I just didn't have to time to rebuild LFS, and besides that, I got very dismotivated. And I feard this was the first sign of a complete harddrive malfunction. So I didn't bother reinstalling LFS. Instead I tried a whole bunch of distro's, from gentoo to slackware 9.1. I ran slackware 9.1 for a while, untill my fear that the entire harddrive was dying turned out to be well grounded. The root partition got corrupted again and no matter how much I "fscked" it, it just didn't get fixed. So I desided to buy my self a new harddrive. I had to reinstall linux once more. But this time round, I had my motivation back, and had some more time on my hands. And
this is the result.
So after two weeks of work, LFS is completly reinstalled on my new harddrive. Now to figure out how to back it up!
