A 1000 posts on LQ within 9 years.

Finally made it! I reached more than a 1K of posts on LQ!

Recalling where I started from beeing a totaly newb and asking stupid question I'm now able to install and run linux. [mod edit] yeah ha. Just kidding. I learned alot about my self, the community and linux itself throughout the years and am happy that I tried to push my self. And even succeded.

Still alot of stuff to learn. Especially about networking and running things smootly over the time. Sadly I never really had a remote system going for more than 3 years straight. Always reinstalling for being paranoid about beeing compromised or [mod edit]mess it up badly. But got my LPI 1 and 2 up and 3 as soon as I get the chance to really dig into ldap and somehow sadly using samba. Which I never really used beside WINS. I only certify on things that I have experience with and not for the records. Paper is accommodating. Just that knowing people will soon find out that you (s)lack(ed).

Just for people reading this. If you really want to be someone who uses linux read up on everything you can. And always recap. Just not read and forget abbout it cause you think you know some. Always retrace your steps and start a new. New knowledge can make you understand things better that you long have mastered or think you do. One example is this thread. I read it and want to post on. But I need some more thoughts on it and also might check on the RFC's regarding to it. That a very good example of someone who really wants to understand and definetly thinks about stuff. Not just swallow shit one is fed. Only LoL can make you adore this xD.
Honestly I like the style of people just "talking to them self" and trying to get a better understanding and also some new thoughts about thinks that are around as long as there is networking.

To recap I saw many a good people on this forum and around other *nix forums. Shell servers, irc and mailing list I am on or was. I also found nothing[mod edit]. Just ways to cope and keep your head high. But also watch one self. Too not only be a better person but also a better participant.

For all those I pissed of. Sorry that you are not able to treat people even. If I insulted you I appologize. What was that line? Attitude is due to how you treat me and behaviour due to my experience.

Best Regards Zhjim

And don't forget. Love the system wenigstens ein bischen.

Congratulations. For a person who has been around for such a long time, you should know better and use language that is more in line with LQ rules. It does not bother me personally but I know that Jeremy (thanks to whom we have been using this amazing source of linux knowledge) wants LQ remain suitable for work and we should respect it. Bearing in mind how much we owe this community, that's the least we can do.

Last year, I spent an hour or so going through my first posts.... how embarrassing!!!!:O

I'd just say once in a milenium one can go a bit of track. None the less its noted.

Hm maybe I should to that. I have one post in mind where I just asked such a obvisious question. Now its a turn around and I'm glad that now I can hold the hand of someone thats looking to me like a troll post. Strange how things change.

Shouldn't listen to music while posting :) I considere foul language a bit like salt. A little bit for the taste but too much can be dangerous.
