*solved* Lenny kernel upgrade breaks OSS installation


Manually purged dpkg status file with this procedure.

Downloaded current OSS .deb here.

Using Synaptic, installed linux-headers-2.6.26-1-686.

Navigated to directory containing latest OSS .deb (oss-linux-4.1-1051_i386.deb) and installed it using command
Code:
dpkg -i oss-linux-4.1-1051_i386.deb
.
