Hi Gfg,Thanks for the message. But i am completely in the woods regarding setting up my network. I have a Netgear wireless card with WG311v3. I have read lots of posts that say install ndiswrapper. I have downloaded it from another pc via usb stick. how to incorporate it into fedora 6. Completely flummoxed.!!!!
Well, I don't use ndiswrapper myself, but I have read that their website has lots of info on how to use it (instructions etc..) so check that out, and also, as you can see, there are loads of ndiswrapper-related threads around here. You'll get it! Browse the Networking forum or post specific troubles in there
PS - LOL @ 'flummoxed'
Hi Gfg,
24 hours into search in google and all known sources, i installed ndiswrapper, and happily unzipped the drivers given by netgear. It says invalid driver. It seems in fc6, you cannot incorporate windows driver because of something called stack size, it can allow only upto 4k. Some say that netgear drivers cannot be used in fc6. Now i have to change the OS to different flavour of linux or change my card. What do you suggest? Still in deep woods !!!!
