Where to go next

I've joined this forum so that I can start to get a greater understanding of how to use Linux as a sysadmin.

Should I go on training, use books or is it best to just continue with the hands on experience?

I'm newish to Linux but over the last few years have used it every so often mainly for filesystems, using Debian Jessie and Stretch

I have performed certain tasks such as setting up a hardware raid, making a filesystem, mounting, syncing Windows AD using kerberos, setup smb and netatalk/afp sharing etc...

Belated WELCOME! Did you see this recent becoming-SA thread, with lots of ideas?

VBoxes, books (do you prefer online or buy/library?); certs just for topics.
Computer job? (college?) Comments on ideas from that above-linked Thread?

Looks like you've made a good start! Play&ENJOY

Thanks all for the welcome messages and advice.

I'm getting my teeth stuck into Proxmox, Debian and zfs storage.

I'm finding the hands on experience is working well so far and on my test machine I start over again to see if I can remember which order to install packages etc...
