when booting, just show GRUB word not command
 
I deleted Red Hat 9.0 from dual booting with Win XP home, and can not boot with win xp. I changed boot sequence to CDROM and try to boot from Win xp CD but it doesn't work. the screen just show GRUB and it is not grub command so I can not type anything. Please help!!

Deleting the whole linux system you also probably deleted boot/ & boot/grub/ directories content (I assume it wasn't placed on separate partition). This way you cut grub files needed for proper boot sequence finish. You can fix it using windows 'format c: /mbr' command. It removes finally the rest of grub from your hard drive (grub 1st stage).
But why you cannot boot from CD is a mystery for me...

You got two different answers (the second thread is http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=178405), the short version is to boot from DOS/Windows boot disk and run 'fdisk /mbr'.
