Well, hi from Placer County, CA, at the foot of the Sierras.
I'm an 80 year old retired Project Engineer that was formerly with Johns-Manville.
I'm trying to catch up on using Linux, by starting with Ubuntu. I'm hoping that I will find that it's more user friendly than my Vista and Win 7. Along the way, I'm sure that I'll come up with a bunch of questions, and am just a little concerned about the comment about this forum not being intended for matters that are technical.
