Ubuntu rocks in Alameda

Hi all.

I just built myself a new box with an AMD64 3500 cpu on an Asus A8N-E mobo. I decided to run Ubuntu 64 bit instead of windows on my top machine and Ubuntu is awesome.

It is very different getting things to work outside the GUI but all of the GUI stuff is easy to operate. 64 bit Linux is not supported very well yet for things like flash player.

Nice site here, it is fun to look at all of the problems other people have that are similar to my own.

Welcome to LQ!
Glad you chose Ubuntu over Micros$oft's proprietary software.
