Welcome to Linux Questions!
The tutorials section is over there on the column to the right but it may not contain what you're looking for.
We'd need to know what distribution of Linux you are or want to use, Ubuntu, Mint, Red Hat, Fedora, etc plus version number "Linux" doesn't mean anything on its own. Shame huh? With something like Windows XP you knew what you'd got.
Each distribution has its own web site and this is probably your best bet for a suitable tutorial. Check out
distrowatch for suitable distributions, note that the column they have on the right hand side has only the first 100 distributions! Yup! you're spoiled for choice with Linux.
Your best entry point is to download a few Distribution .iso images and burn them onto a DVD, most are what we call "Live" in that you boot them up on your PC/laptop and you can run the Linux distribution in memory, it doesn't harm your hard drive. You can therefore check out a few distributions, see what you like and then hit the install button from within the running memory resident version to, er... install it. You can also pick up bootable DVDs from magazines like Linux Format, Linux Voice, etc, if burning one's a problem
If you get stuck with any of the .iso burning processes or install stuff, come back here and you'll find loads of helpful people who can advise. Mint is a good starting point for newcomers but there are others which you'll no doubt be told about.
Play Bonny!
