Ya know, I have been working Linux installs and configuration off and on, mostly off, since 1995, I think? My very first distro was Storm Linux. It was on cd (all 250 mb of it) for free in a game magazine when gaming consisted of duke nukum-note:not duke3D! I installed Storm 5 times, unsuccessfully, before it finally took and at that point, with no support, I had no way to control it LOL! I went nuts not knowing how to control the darn thing. I went on to many others like turbo linux, I think, suse, redhat, something called yellowdog, which I found out was unix and of course mandrake. I love suse for its beauty and evolution. KDE is responisble for the main GUI transformation of most current distros and thank the users for that. I will always love mandrake all the way up to 10.1 and mandriva. I am currently typing this from my kubuntu box dual zeon bad boy and it is by far the fastest GUI environment. Debian anything is a fantastic release of genius and is for experienced users in the end. Tried and true knoppix is always on disk for a quick drop and lets not forget the raw and powerfull ozz that is slackware which to me is a technicians guide to running the world! I fall waay short of it so i don't use it, YET.
Hack on Hack hard, just hack.
That's my inner penguin talking.
